This is so beautiful, a perspective on love I think many more people need to see. Falling in love with someone's soul instead of a checklist. Bring back yearning, passion, and being with someone who sees the flaws but loves anyway.
i subscribed to you because everything you wrote in this post emitted a soft, gentle hands that hugged me like a warm blanket during cold nights. Saying i have done enough and it’s time to let them go. i love it!!
Thank you so much for your beautiful words, they truly mean the world to me. I'm touched that my writing could offer you that kind of comfort and warmth. you're not alone and it is okay to let go when it's time.
yeah love comes when least expected but are the ones that we love really good for us? rn i don't think love is the most important tho i would love to love and be loved but it is not always good
Thank you, I really needed to read this. I feel like now days more than ever we tend to lose sight of reality as media and socials try to sell us an idea of love that has nothing to do with reality. As a result we often end up chasing this away when we have it because we’re too scared or because is not what society prepared us for.
Thank you for sharing this so honestly. i feel that too- it’s so easy to get tangled in the stories we’re sold about love, and so hard sometimes to trust the real, imperfect, beautiful thing right in front of us. Your awareness is powerful. You’re already finding your way back to what’s true.
I really enjoyed reading your perspective on love. You get it. I've been tinkering with this idea in my mind but I was always too afraid that I might offend the people in my life who do believe that love is a checklist and list of standards. I hope we all get to experience the love you so beautifully described. The quiet love, the love that sees all of your faces and decides to accept them all, the love that feels like you're finally home and safe. Thank you for writing such a wonderful post! I'll be thinking about this for the next several days 🥰🥰💕💕
This means the world to me, truly. Thank you for reading with such an open heart.
I completely get what you mean. It can feel risky to go against the grain, especially when so many people build their view of love on rules and checklists. But I think there's so much power in gently questioning that, in dreaming of something softer, deeper, and less performative.
You deserve that kind of love too, the kind that doesn’t flinch when it sees all of you, that holds you in the mess and the magic, and simply stays.
Thank you for sharing this with me. I’ll be carrying your words with me too x

This is written with breathtaking kindness.
Sharing with you my own thoughts on love in the hopes that it resonates even just a little: https://open.substack.com/pub/idontknowwhoneedstohearthis/p/why-do-i-feel-like-im-only-whole?r=4qmokz&utm_medium=ios

Stunning & laced with wisdom! Thank you for sharing this.
“Don’t trade your softness for someone’s convenience.” This line was felt. Thank you very much for this!
I’m so glad it resonated with you. That line came from a place of deep truth, thank you for receiving it so openly!
